Professor Josef Manuel Wins First Black Belt Superfight!

Cutting Edge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu represented Team Robson Moura at the UGC April 11, 2009. Big Mike, Cezar, Isac and Josef Manuel put on a show for the spectators. Racking up a total of 9 medals between four competitors. ” The guys cleaned house, they didn’t know whether we were coming or going. (Laughs) Takedowns, passes, sweeps and submissions you name it they did it! ” (Josef Manuel ) The Black Belt Open Class Super Fight of the event Anderson De Souza ( No-Gi World Champion and 2x Pan American Champion ) vs Professor Josef Manuel who debuted as a Black Belt. Josef won with a score of 27 – 2 with his opponent in an armlock as the time ran out. We would like to congratulate all of our competitors and wish them luck on their future competitions!

Cutting Edge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu would like to congratulate all of the students that tested for their belts and got promoted on Saturday the 20th of December. ” They all did an excellent job of displaying their technical and physical abilities in all three areas of the test, with the Gi, No-Gi and Striking.
